Background and History of Maan-Soor
Maan-Soor which is widely known with its logo as
(Maan-Soor) was established in 1994 when many Somalilanders where returning from
refugee camps after a protracted civil war being away from there homes, Hence
the aftermath of the war was so difficult and unbearable for many residents of
Somaliland. For that reason the hotelier together with the staff had planned to
build a new hotel to meet the current needs of the general public. And so in
response to the prevailing market demands for shelter provisions, the foundation
of this historic hotel was laid in the foresaid year.
Soon after the completion of the construction work
the first hotel service operation begun with services of 12 rooms, Restaurant,
Cafeteria, Kitchen, Lobby, and hall. On top of that on the other side of the
hotel wing another new construction of 12 rooms, a restaurant, cafeteria,
kitchen, Lobby and hall had been built in the second phase of the construction
work. While in the remaining 8 phases of construction work the hotel has been
handling extensive range of construction work and service provision rendering
activities as shown in the following 8 phases.
